Sell commercial property in London
Own a shop, office or industrial property in London? Tell us about the building and your plans. These local planning and access points may be relevant to a sale.
We introduce commercial property owners to potential buyers.
Central London offices
The London Plan gives particular attention to offices in the Central Activities Zone and Northern Isle of Dogs. For an office in these areas, prepare its current use, tenancy details and planning history. See the office policy.
If you own a suite rather than the whole building, explain the shared access and services.
Industrial land around Park Royal and Heathrow
The London Plan distinguishes Strategic Industrial Locations, Locally Significant Industrial Sites and other industrial land. It highlights Park Royal and Heathrow in its industrial and logistics policies. Check which designation applies to your property using Policies E4 and E5.
Describe the yard, loading, current use and any access or hours restrictions. Take planning advice before presenting an alternative use as a sale opportunity.
Office conversions in the City of London
In the Square Mile, an Article 4 direction requires planning permission for the specified change from offices to homes. See the City’s guidance. This is a City of London example, not a rule for all London offices.
The direction affects a change of use, not the ability to sell. Any proposed conversion needs checking for the particular building.
Loading and HGV access
TfL’s HGV safety permit scheme covers most of Greater London and concerns lorries over 12 tonnes gross vehicle weight, subject to exemptions. Operators should check the route and vehicle requirements.
For a warehouse or workshop, explain the delivery vehicles, loading space and shared access. A vehicle permit does not establish that the yard or approach road is suitable.
Enquire about your London property
We accept enquiries about vacant, let and owner-occupied premises across London. Start with the postcode and property type. We’ll discuss whether we can introduce potential buyers and agree any work and fees before proceeding.
Common questions
Can I enquire about a shop with flats above?
Yes. Explain what is included and how each part is occupied. See the shops and mixed-use guide.
Can the building be converted to flats?
That needs property-specific planning advice. Check its current use, local restrictions and any existing permissions before describing conversion potential.
Do you accept enquiries across London?
Yes. The examples above highlight selected local issues; they do not limit where you can enquire.
